Small business summit attracts heavy hitters

SOME OF THE country’s most influential business, political and regulatory leaders shared their insights, experiences and projections with the small business community at the Council of Small Business of Australia’s (COSBOA) National Small Business Summit for 2008.

Acknowledged as the peak small business event of the year, and organised by My Business magazine for COSBOA, it allows small business owners to connect directly with the legislators, financiers, organisations and technologies that affect their businesses.

Among this year’s speakers were the Federal Opposition Leader, Dr Brendan Nelson; the Federal Minister for Small Business, Dr Craig Emerson; the Chairman of the ACCC, Mr Graeme Samuel; the Tax Commissioner, Mr Michael D’Ascenzo, as well as prominent entrepreneurs including Aussie Home Loans’, John Symond; Sydney Bridge Climb’s Paul Cave, and Possum Furniture’s, Margot Spalding.
